What is SCI Video Blog?
SCI Video Blog is a collection of tutorial videos posted by SCI individuals of all different levels of injury to visually demonstrate how they perform their daily life activities. The website allows individuals with new spinal cord injuries to search for videos based on their level of injury, ASIA level, completeness of the injury, and SCI complications, among other things. The website also allow writers and bloggers to share their knowledge or story with the world. For individuals or family members with a language barrier, the website plans on providing subtitles in many languages as well.
How do I register? Is it free?
Registration on the site is and always will be free. You can register here.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Please visit our forgot password page to reset your password. If you forgot your email, please contact us.
I didn't get the account verification email. What's happening?
The email can take up to five minutes. If you still don't get it, please check your Junk/Spam folder.
How do I upload a video?
You can click on Upload Video option at the top left corner of your screen. You can also click here to upload a video.
Is it really necessary to follow the Video Guidelines?
Yes. To categorize video in a better way, we require you to follow the Video Guidelines.
Can I upload a video of someone else?
As long as they sign our Consent Form, you would be able to upload their video. Please be advised that you're responsible to clearly mention our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Media Upload Terms and Conditions to them.
How long does it take to upload and process a video?
Uploading a video may take a while, since videos tend to be very large files. However, the exact amount of time required will depend on the size of your specific video and the speed of your internet connection. The processing stage usually takes about five - ten minutes. If it takes more than ten minutes have occurred and there's no activity, please Contact Support.
How do I create a blog post?
You can create a blog post by visiting your Control Panel > Blogs > Create Blog Post.
Can I copy a blog post from somewhere?
We advise you to contact the author for a permission to share their work and cite the reference on the blog post, if they approve.
Do you have guidelines about acceptable file formats and file sizes?
